That's how I connected this with tracking protection.

For the record, I have updated the override settings so they should be correct and the referenced webpage still doesn't open.

You've wrote previously that you don't want to enable cookies for LI website. Bad news for you - LinkedIn demands more than just enabled cookies. Tracking protection should be disabled either and who knows what more they want (besides of log-in). Messing with spoofing User Agent will not help here, sorry.

I have not intentionally stated I'm against enabling cookies for Linkedin and disabling tracking protection.

How do I make these things happen for Linkedin? (I already stay logged in.)

Thanks.

I'm afraid it is global setting and will affect all tracking websites, not only LinkedIn.

Menu -> Edit -> Preferences -> Privacy & Security -> in filed "User Tracking" unmark/disable all options or at least "Prevent tracking activities by known sites"

Image

Next time write more information (cookie enabled, account, logged-in etc.) because it'll help a little... or a lot.

For me, the only way I got to see anything on LinkedIn was to go into Preferences, and Accept Cookies and then allow for tracking. To allow tracking, I did this by clicking on the "Cookie Manager" button, down below the Cookie Retention portion, find the LinkedIn entry in the domain listing and select "Allow" in the "Permissions" tab.

All of this and cookies have been set properly all along. There was nothing to change now.

Thanks.

David, sorry to be dense, but I have visited the Cookie Manager and viewed your display and don't see how to get to the "allow" screen you show.

Thanks.

Bah... not at all. A static screenshot isn't easy to follow sometimes. Here you go:

David, thank you.

I had tried all of that but when I get to "permissions" it is grayed out and not clickable...

Besides "all data types" in the left column, I tried the other options as well in the left column, including "permissions".

Hmmm... I don't know why that would be. I must have something set differently in my SeaMonkey config. What and where, I have no idea.

It looks like you don't have cookies set for this domain. Really strange because you're logged in. Right?

It should look like this:
1) cookies tab
Image

2) permissions tab
Image

Another test for you:
1) go to LinkedIn.com website (main/start page)

2) press Ctrl+i to open Page Info window
Image

3) switch to Permissions tab
Image

4) make sure that "Set Cookies" is not using default setting and "Allow" is selected.

Maybe you'll need cookies for "licdn.com" domain too. Than open below URL and proceed like above:
https://static-exp1.licdn.com/sc/h/al2o ... e1x2rzsrca
(it's just LI image)

Domain "licdn.com" is for content delivery network:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Content_delivery_network
LI is using this for images, scripts and other stuff. So it's better to set cookies for this too.

Okay, I did all of that. I also went to the Cookie Manager and clicked "Permissions" and "allowed was already set properly.

Linkedin.com still displays without the search option showing.

Where it should be? How it looks?

As not logged in user/quest I can search people using this:
https://www.linkedin.com/pub/dir/+/+?tr ... people-cta
... I have this result:
https://www.linkedin.com/in/todd-thibod ... earch-card

I just tried to launch those, plus the original --> https://www.linkedin.com/in/todd-thibodeaux-7b1a7011a/

All of them still display the blank page.

In answer to your question there should be the opportunity to login/logout and search, neither of which appears for me.
