I now have 2.53.9.1 and noted that the Acrobat PDF Reader no longer works. Is there any addon that will allow PDF's to be read in SM? Thanks, Bob.

I was able to download and successfully install newer (2.3.240) version from Pale Moon website, unfortunately it's not possible anymore: https://addons.palemoon.org/addon/pdf-js-for-seamonkey/

Thanks to all who have answered. I appreciate it!
My Acrobat Reader used to work in SM but it does not anymore.
I downloaded the PDF Viewer 2.3.233 and installed it. I see it in my Addons Manager. I set it to ON but it does not work. I also tried setting it to Default. Still does not work.

Any help sure would be appreciated.

I see that it fixes the inability to open pdf's in Attachments in 2.3.233.

I went to that site but cannot figure how to download and installer it in SM.

How exactly can I download it and install it in SM? Since I have 2.3.233 do I have to uninstall it?

just click on the link https://github.com/IsaacSchemm/pdf.js-s ... pdf.js.xpi then Seamonkey will ask you if you want to install the extension

No need to uninstall the previous version

I double clicked on the pfd file in my e-mail Attachments and nothing happens. I also clicked OPEN with the same results.

Don't click on (any) attachments to open. Save them on disk and then open. "PDF Viewer" will open PDFs on website.

So you see this in your Addons Manager; what do you see for content type "PDF Documents" when you go to your Preferences --- Browser --- Helper Applications?

Also what application do you have set in Windows Settings to read your ".pdf" file type?

Thanks. Adobe Acrobat Reader DC is set in Windows. Windows will open pdf's as it always has. That's not the problem. The problem is opening attached pdf's in SM 2.53.9.1.

Preferences --- Browser --- Helper Applications

PDF File (Application,Unknown) Always Ask
PDF File (x-octetstream) Always Ask
PDF File (Application/X-pdf) Always Ask
PDF File (Binary Octet-stream) Always Ask

I can save the pdf to disc and read it as always.

The basic problem is that I cannot open any pdf attachment in SM, as I could always do in previous versions .
