Seamonkey Composer personal dictionary — can't find it

Post by bigporter »

I've searched the knowledge base (like http://kb.mozillazine.org/Dictionaries# ... dictionary) and cannot find where the Seamonkey COMPOSER personal dictionary is located.

I'm on a late model Mac and want to copy the persdict.dat file from my old Mac to my new. I have the file — I don't know where it goes for Seamonkey Composer.

  • Image The dictionaries, globally and by default, you find them in the installation directory.

On MAC, I think it is /Applications/SeaMonkey.app
(I am NOT sure, because, I do not use or like Macs). :-"

File "persdict.dat" should be in your SeaMonkey's profile folder:
http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folde ... _Mac_users
(folder is hidden by default)

If you're not sure then create new one (Personal Dictionary) and then replace with old one.
