2.53.10: images dispayed rotated 180 degree

Post by Bac_a_sable »

Seamonkey 2.53.10, 64, FR:
https://forum.hardware.fr/forum2.php?co ... w=0&nojs=0
the last image at bottom of the page show a house .... with earth on top and sky on bottom.
On Firefox up to date, the rotation is correct: earth bottom and sky up.
Any idea? Do you see the same?

I can confirm.
The picture at the bottom is upside down.

Also confirmed that the last picture at the bottom of the linked page appears upside down; and it does show right side (sky side) up in Firefox and the chromium-based browsers.

Also true for me, and yet if you go right-click, view image, it rights itself sky up.

  • It is really curious. In the forum thread, the image looks upside down. Image

:-k But, using the URL of the image itself (https://0x0.st/-Rtd.jpg), it looks correctly.

If you want to make it "looks incorrectly" then change "layout.css.image-orientation.enabled" to false...

Hint from here:
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1091888

Looks like SeaMonkey can handle this when image is displayed "stand-alone" but can't handle when it's embedded on website/forum.

And looks like Firefox 74.x don't have such preference.
