gmail giving me trouble with seamonkey
Gmail considers seamonkey an unsecure app. I've been downloading emails from gmail to my seamonkey for years, but they're going to stop that ability in May. What can I do to keep using both?

Hi,
There are quite a few threads on the subject, so why not do a quick search of the forum/s?

I asked Google about this and here’s their reply: You can enabled 2-step verification on the account and use an application password for Seamonkey to sign in with.
What do you think

Umm, I think that just setting up OAuth2 for your Gmail accesses from Seamonkey is enough? Once I did that, Google has quit threatening me with imminent shutdown of my access to Gmail with "insecure apps".

I did it and my SM continued to work great without any tweaking. Thanks!
