Window size at startup

Post by unbeleevabull »

Is the startup window size of SM hardcoded? I have to adjust it every time. It holds for that session, but is back to awkward half off screen size and position when I start it again.
(2.53.13beta1, but it's been like this for a while; Win10 laptop)

No it is not. The file "xulstore.json" stores that information and if that file is corrupted it could cause various problems. Try closing SeaMonkey, locating and renaming that file in the SeaMonkey profile, perhaps calling it xulstorejson.old, and then restarting SeaMonkey. Set the window positions as you want then close and restart SeaMonkey to see if the positions and sizes hold.

Not to my knowledge. Just FYI, on Linux we can control every window's size separately. With SM I can keep the browser window full-screen, the compose mail window located at XX:YY at such-and-such size, the main mail/newsgroups window at a different XX:YY and the size I want it, etc. Apply it once, and you're done!
