Recent Seamonkey browsing problem

Post by 9fingers »

In the last few weeks some websites are causing me a problem. Majority are working just fine.

E.G. Dropbox.
I can sign in OK , then dropbox loads my dropbox directory then instantly the window turns blank and the status bar at the bottom just says "done"

Any suggestions please?

I'm seeing this on SM 2.53.13 on one machine. I tried updating to the latest version (sm 2.53.14) on another machine and same problem. Both machines are running windows 10 and up to date

TIA
Bob

Does the same thing occur if you launch the application in Mozilla Safe Mode? http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode

I have a similar problem.
Version 2.53.14 hangs when I access my bank web site, and they say I need to update my browser,
but version 2.49.5 works fine and so does Firefox 107.0
When using 2.49.5, I have trouble accessing other sites.

@dsteward

What bank?

Explain "hang"?
You have to kill SeaMonkey & restart, or... ?
Fire 750, bring back 250.

I have to use Firefox. There are a growing number of sites that say Seamonkey is not supported anymore. It is a pity.
Is there a way to spoof the version?
