I check "Favorite folder" in folder popup.
I check "Favorite folder" in Edit menu.
But I not see how to use it.
How to use "Favorite folder" in SM 2.53?

Well, not that obvious really. I've been using SeaMonkey now for 8 years and I've never heard of a 'Favorites Folder', let alone of where it is.Diamanti wrote:Mail client, obviously.

I'm using SeaMonkey from years too but today I saw "Favorite folders" for the first time.Frank Lion wrote:Well, not that obvious really. I've been using SeaMonkey now for 8 years and I've never heard of a 'Favorites Folder', let alone of where it is.Diamanti wrote:Mail client, obviously.
While in "Mail & Newsgroups" window (e-mail part of SeaMonkey; info for other users):
1) click on some folder and mark it as favorite
2) Menu -> Go -> Folder -> Favorites -> choose yours "favorite" folder to go there (such "long shortcut")
Works?

Yep. I can't really see what you'd use it for, but I guess someone must use it.TPR75 wrote:Works?

Re: Favorite folder: how to do?
I suppose if I were to use it, it would be like a shortcut to a folder on a desktop. For example: I store a particular group of emails (say from my mother) in a sub-folder called "Mom". Rather than using the left navigation menu to go to the email account, then the Inbox, then to my "Mom" folder, I just mark it as a Favorite. Then, when I want to back there, I just use Go -> Favorites -> Mom.Frank Lion wrote: ↑January 4th, 2023, 2:10 pmYep. It is easier or better? That depends on your point of view, I guess. But, it's an option.
My current rig: Acer Aspire One D257, ALT Linux (Sisyphus x86_64), Window Maker (0.96.0), SeaMonkey (2.53.18.2)
