I upgraded from 2.53.15 to 2.5316 last week when the update notification came up when I starter Seamonkey. Then when I tried to reply to an email, both the Reply and Reply All buttons would not work. I uninstalled 2.53.16 and reinstalled 2.53.15 and the buttons worked again.
Today, I upgraded to 2.53.16 again and same thing so I have gone back to 2.53.15 again.
Is anyone else seeing this problem and is there a way to fix it?
Bob

Re: Seamonkey 2.53.16 email issue
Hello bhurter
Both buttons are working for me. I used them a few times since I updated to 2.53.16.
Are your buttons active at all? What if you try replying via context menu (right-click) on a given email?
Friendly greetings
Ravelli

Thanks for your reply Ravelli.
All the other buttons except the Reply and Reply All are working.
Trying the context menu (right-click),
- the Reply to Sender Only does not work at all - nothing happens
- the Reply to All does but there are no email addresses showing for anyone on the original email - they are all gone

Does the same thing occur if you launch the application in Mozilla Safe Mode? http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode

No, launching in Mozilla Safe Mode makes everything work okay. Does this indicate a problem with something not allowing to launch normally?

Re: Seamonkey 2.53.16 email issue
When things work properly in Safe Mode but not in Standard Mode it often indicates that an installed extension is causing problems. (Disable them by pressing CTRL+Shift+A to launch the Addons Manager. Click on Extensions->click on "Disable" for every extension but one.) See if the problem is present. If not, enable an additional extension and close and restart the application. Repeat this procedure until the problem reappears. The last enabled extension will be the cause of the problem.

Dan,
Thanks for your reply. I found that the extension causing the problem is "Change quote and reply format [converted] 0.8.7.1" and once disabled the problem is resolved. Should I simply leave it disabled or remove it?

Might as well remove it if it is not usable.
