" The Connection is Untrusted"

Post by Tham58 »

Is there any way this can be bypassed ?

https://www.quora.com/

" This Connection is Untrusted

You have asked SeaMonkey to connect securely to http://www.quora.com, but we can't confirm that your connection is secure.

Normally, when you try to connect securely, websites will present trusted identification to prove that you are going to the right place. However, this website's identity can't be verified.
What Should I Do?

If you usually connect to this website without problems, this error could mean that someone is trying to impersonate the website, and you shouldn't continue.

This site uses HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS) to specify that SeaMonkey only connect to it securely. As a result, it is not possible to add an exception for this certificate. "

That site looks fine in SM 2.53.16 and that message does not appear.

Your SM 2.39 is well over 7 years old, so it's not surprising that it no longer works on many sites, is it?

Moving to SeaMonkey Support as no specific bug has yet been identified here.

Might it be an XP issue, in that XP does not have the required "SSL certs" (I'm making that up), so it may simply not work if said certs are required & the OS does not support them?
