javascript endless spin

Post by Johnfull »

My banking site won't allow me to pay my credit card bill.
The two-factor logon works normally, allowing each account page to open.
But the 'Pay Bill' goes to an empty dialog box with a rotating arrow and the bottom of the screen shows 'javascript'.
I had to use Edge to pay my bill and it had a hang-up on the same dialog box, but said 'Waiting for USAA' instead of 'javascript' on the bottom.
After a minute or so, it finally opened the 'Pay Bill' box. This makes me think that some new security slows down Edge and breaks Seamonkey...

I discovered a work-around.
Instead of going into Visa and then hitting 'pay bill', I hit 'pay bills' on the preceding 'accounts' page.
This presents a list of all payment accounts and amounts due.
Not sure why going into the Visa page first no longer works...

Well done for even looking for a workaround, that's a lot more than most people ever try to do.

I had similar with the PayPal dialog box and fixed it like this - http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic ... #p14950588

Didn't work.
I still get the box with the spinning arrow.
There is a ghost copy of the desired box behind the arrow, as before.
It even shows advancement on the progress bar from 'payment account' to 'payment amount'.
I shut down Seamonkey twice to reset, but no dice.
Should I re-set the original integer to '2'?.

My banking site
URL?

browser.link.open_newwindow.restriction
Except for odd situations, like eBay, it probably won't matter one way or the other.
So just set it back to its' default.
Fire 750, bring back 250.
