[DELAY] Forum Upgrade Inbound [6/26]

Post by osuadmin »

Unfortunately, there was a massive database upgrade occurring at the same time the Mozillazine upgrade was happening, resulting in an improper upgrade.
The forums upgrade will have to be delayed again until:
Monday, June 26 @ 10:00 AM PDT

=== Previous Message ===

Hello Dedicated MozillaZine forum users,

We are happy to announce that the forums will be upgraded soon!
Wednesday, June 14 @ 10:00 AM PDT
The upgrade will take around 8 hours, during that time the site will be unavailable.

In the coming months, we also plan on completing an additional upgrade to the latest version of phpBB.

What will we as members here need to do for the upgraded forum to be accessible?

Thanks.

The upgrade will be a two staged process. The site will be available later in the day on Wednesday, then sometime during the summer, there will be an update just like this one.

So, the upgrade will be seamless for us members -- we'll not need to do anything to access, no?

Https:// can work though your may encounter some issues that http:// does not have here.

The forum software was not updated as it may have even been reverted to a saved state shortly before the upgrade was attempted.

this post is kind of a test to see if i see any difference when making a post.

when i logged in, using a secure connection, when the page refreshed, after the login, going back to the support-forum, i got an error-message saying "secure connection failed." so, it seems as though it is the same as it has always been, regarding the problems with the secure connections, in the forum.

update: so, after my post, which was a test, i got "secure connection failed," same as before. no difference.
