Copy-pasting under KDE 2.2.2

Post by Phaust »

Hello,

I have recently started using Debian Linux with KDE 2.2.2, so I'm kind of newbie. The problem is I'm unable to copy-paste between KDE applications and Mozilla. Copy-pasting inside Mozilla does work, and so does between KDE applications. Is there no standard interface for copy-pasting which to support or something like that?

Thanks,

KDE 2.2.2 is mighty old - I am using KDE 3.1 and never had a problem with copying between any of the apps, including Mozilla. Maybe you have to activate the "klipper" app?

Hi Johann,
Thanks for the answer. Now that klipper is active I'm able to copy things by activating them in Mozilla. Pasting works only by using Edit-Copy and Edit-Paste inside Mozilla. It's like there would be two different clipboard systems, Mozilla's one and KDE's one. I assume that is because of my old KDE version. Guess I just have to upgrade to KDE 3.x soon.
