Tabbed windows

Post by word »

I was wondering if there was a way to tab a new window for a new addresss id like to type in myself. I know how to do the Cntrl+click link to open up a tab, but what if i want a tab for the address im typing in manually? is there a way to do that?

You can use Control T to open a tab. You can then enter your url. Another way is to go to Edit->Preferences->Navigator->Tabbed Browsing and uncheck hide the tab bar box. That way you will always have the open tab button in the left top corner to quickly open new tabs(although I like the cntrl+t better!).

Type in your address and press Ctrl-Enter to open it in a new tab. For this to work, checkmark the applicable option in Edit -> Preferences -> Navigator -> Tabbed Browsing.
