Just Mozilla. The version I had been using was an older one (Mozilla 1.4 Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030624) but I also tried downloading the most current one available on the web site and it didn't work either.

Moving to SeaMonkey Support where the Mozilla Suite is supported.

I'm sorry. It wasn't supposed to be a question. Finger slipped. I just moved your post to the correct forum for you.

How & where did you save the files?

Perhaps this: Migrating settings to a new profile.
Fire 750, bring back 250.

This is a very belated reply -- I used a thumb drive and think I just copied the Mozilla folder (which may not be the way to do it.)
I looked at the link you suggested but am not sure how to apply them to my problem -- can you tell me why you suggested it? Thanks very much.

probably because

He probably suggested that because the is no logical difference between........

a) Migrating your data from computer A running operating system X to computer B running operating system Y

and

b) Migrating your data from computer A running operating system X to computer A (same box) now running operating system Y

In other words, instructions for moving your data between two computers using different operating systems ARe the correct instructions for your situation.
