Even more fun: There is a new version of the Sumatra PDF reader available. As the Sumatra plugin for PCXFirefox dates back to 2014 (!) it would make some sense to update that as well :-D

Does that mean PCXFirefox is abandoned now? That would really be a pity.

Busy looking after my babies, so I will update the projects when I am free ( not abandon but delay some time after each edition is released ).

Any chance to see pcxFirefox-54 soon enough, before 54.0.1 or 54.0.2 come out?
Thanks again for your wonderful browser...

xunxun1982 just waits until 54.0.2 or higher come out. As these are usually bugfix releases, that makes sense.

Hello,

hopefully, the babies now reach a time period where they do not require as much attention as immediately after their birth ;)

Firefox 55.0 is already out as I read on the net a few days ago.

Kind regards,

There was a time when XUNXUN waited for the x.01 and x.02 builds to be released... and I was OK with that.
Although other competitors could release a new version almost in time, PCXfirefox was still worth the wait...
Meantime, Firefox has released 54.0.1, then 55.0, then 55.0.1 and we're still stuck with 53! Is the project dead or what? I apologise for sounding a bit aggressive, but XUNXUN... come on!!! Your latest version was released the 20th of May... ALMOST 3 MONTHS AGO! Again sorry if I sound too much aggressive, but I just need to know whether we have to wait for "the best browser in the world" to be updated and released, or NOT!
Regards.

The X.0.x builds are not necessarily planned for in a best case scenario as then there would not be any x minor updates for either security and or stability fixes that could not wait until next major Release. Most Releases only got one minor update if any. Keep in mind that ESR is every seven versions as they are listed in https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/releases/ also.

Firefox 55.0 was officially Released on Aug 8 as any sites that had it listed earlier jumped the gun.

Xunxun1982 is busy looking after his babies. As the wording already suggests, there is more than one of them.
Usually, babies get out of the diaper age at about 3. So all we can do is have a little more patience for the next 3 years :-D

you should consider that build as dead since two major builds. bugfixes and security is too important:
https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/5 ... easenotes/
https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/security/ ... s/firefox/

dont cry us a river it if had hitted you.the issues are that critical that have got a separate CVE-number - CVE means official and more than critcal!
https://cve.mitre.org/cgi-bin/cvename.c ... -2017-7798
hm, bad example but that will point out that not all CVE are public to avoid abuse.
