Where can I replace the firefox icons and about.png after build done?

You have to place them into the source folder before building:
firefox.icns & document.icns into mozilla/browser/app/macbuild/
about.png & aboutCredits.png into mozilla/browser/base/content/

And icons / pictures have to be changed before building anything.

Damn! Todays (yesterdays) build destroyed my profile...

(Firefox launched and quitted after 1/2 sec)

I am happy, that the bookmarks.html, the key3.db, the signons.txt and the prefs.js were working and I could transfer them to a new profile

@ MacGeneral & readers
for the record, I used 3/2's build and am having no troubles beyond the prefs window (and that could be my Safari looking theme)

03/03

v.b. It was about time I compiled a updated ppc7400 build as well.
So go get the 03/03 build now, while its fresh! :)

These are the last builds this week, since I'll be away the whole weekend... Image

Strike!

Build 03/03 has a "close window" button in the prefs window :D

and the prefs seem to open faster!

No problems yet ;)

Wow, that version is very nice :)
I use the theme GrApple (Default Pro) - and it has been updated for the new prefs.

Just one glitch (with the default theme as well), when I open a new window or tab, the disabled reload arrow show as a part of the home icon plus a piece of another icon.
Active reload button is fine.
It behaves that way with small icons only in the toolbar, big ones are fine.

Regarding the toolbar, when editing it all the possible buttons are not available (reload, backn forward, stop, and so on …) , I don't think it's normal.

Last stuff, regarding the new prefs, any clue if it's possible to remove their resize/fade in effect, which takes a lot of CPU for doing nothing ? :)

Look here :

http://www.squarefree.com/burningedge/

browser.preferences.animateFadeIn
When switching prefs panels, change the height of the window and fade the new panel in over about a second.
Default on: Mac.
browser.preferences.instantApply
Changes to preferences are active immediately. The preferences window is not modal. Instead of "OK" and "Cancel" buttons, there is only a "Close" button.
Default on: Everywhere except Windows.

Just go to about:config and modify ;o)

carboncopy, redownload my 03/03 build.
I uploaded a new build, with the patch included, ~30 minutes after my first build.

is the normal behaviour of the 33 built, that it kicks out all extensions and themes and also dont allow to reinstall most extensions?

spellbound on trunk build

Post by cruss »

Help,
The spellbound extention isn't compatable with the Mac OS X Trunk builds. This is because it uses the Mozilla spell check libraries from ftp.mozilla.org. I use this extention on all of the linux and Windows computers that I have firefox on. I don't know if anyone here could build the needed XPI that would be compatable with PB's optimised Trunk builds, but if so it would be a huge help. If not does anyone have any suggestions, I've tried waiting paciently but I'm just no good at it.

Thanks
