I have 2.12b4

I have an Aurora build 2.13a2

and of course

2.11

https://code.google.com/p/seamonkey-ppc/downloads/list

Personally I'm using 2.12b4 fro my everyday use - it seems faster than 2.11 but I have no numbers to prove that.

Enjoy

ps - I was apparently banned from the message boards here - hmmmm - but followed directions, cleared the cookies and i'm in again - don't know what i did but ...

pps - why did the official SeaMonkey site decide not to list other Mozilla-related project such as this under alternative builds ?

There are however independent projects that continue to support some of these platforms. To learn more, see Latest Releases for Legacy Platforms

http://www.seamonkey-project.org/releases/legacy
Third-Party Projects
There are some legacy platforms that we do not support anymore but for which other projects provide builds that share the same code base as SeaMonkey, Firefox and Thunderbird.

Have others with slow G4s noticed that after a few hours SeaMonkey-ppc web browser becomes painfully slow?

I no longer find it practical on my 733 MHz G4+ tower with OS X 10.5.8.

This is a pity as I prefer its mail client to Thunderbird 3.1.20.

I have returned to Thunderbird as it is not possible to use SM for mail only - it will only open links in emails in its own browser.

Philip

Sorry, whathat i meant was per the issues raised in viewtopic.php?f=42&t=2527655 Posted on Sep Tue 4th 2012 12:46am and https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=788543

If you folks would bring http://www.seamonkey-project.org/releases/legacy forward onto the main page http://www.seamonkey-project.org/releas ... unofficial alongside other official unsupported builds

( for example on http://www.seamonkey-project.org/releas ... unofficial )

Contributed builds (other platforms)
Note: These are unofficial builds and may be configured differently than the official SeaMonkey builds. Please read their "readme" files for further information

Linux/x86_64
Linux/x86_64 .tar.bz2 (readme) (MD5 sum) (SHA1 sum)

then SeaMonkey, TenFourFox, TenFourBird and possibly any others would have visibility.

Basically what I'm getting at is that for ultimate visibility why not put Legacy Platforms under "Contributed builds (other platforms) " ? Are the legacy platforms not just a flavor of "other platforms" which you don't support either ?

The SeaMonkey developer team discussed this several times. We could not reach an agreement to make this page more visible as some members were not in favour of doing this. I tried to push the issue for a while but unfortunately I couldn't get any traction. Sorry about this.

I don't understand the distinction between the PPC platforms under Mac OS X 10.4 or 10.4 vs the Linux x86_64 that they do allow.

If it doesn't get built by Mozilla they should treat it as an outcast as well.

It seems Legacy references are gone altogether now http://www.seamonkey-project.org/releases/2.15b4

Anyway whatever .....

Thanks for all your efforts
Mozilla may have left the PPC behind but I haven't

If you miss having access to the QuickTime plugin since it was busted in the transition from 2.14.1 to 2.15 then check out the latest 2.15 for PPC - it's back in and maybe even resurrects any other QuickDraw based plugins

download seamonkey-ppc-2.15bQTplugin.app.zip

https://code.google.com/p/seamonkey-ppc/downloads/list

Compiling 2.15 release as I type.
