report this issue at https://code.google.com/p/seamonkey-ppc under the issues tab

i always have Flash disabled but it does work if i enable it - the last available working flash for the PPC on 10.5.8 was 10.1.102.64 AFAIK

SeaMonkey - 2.16b5 BETA + LIBRARIES - Mac OS X 10.5.x - PPC

Alrighty - this version includes the libraries libstdc++ and libgcc which are unique to the GCC 4.7 compiler which I use. Took some doing to modify the Make system to get them to get the libraries in the right directories and adjust the internal search paths accordingly but it all works. I've checked it out on a pristine 10.5.8 G4 Powerbook so it should be a go for those who have had problems with not having the correct libraries in particular libstdc++.

I'm not sure why many others haven't had problems or maybe they just didn't report it and gave up on SeaMonkey but I hope they'll give this a try and will get the G4 out of the closet and online !

I hope to see some feedback both bad ( hopefully not now ) and good under Issue 19 https://code.google.com/p/seamonkey-ppc ... tail?id=19

Take the usual precautions ! Backup your profile.

Enjoy

Thanks for your Support and help spread the word.

hj

ps - These changes will soon be in the RELEASE and AURORA versions I just want to get some feedback first that all is now well.

Spread the word please, make this effort worth my while and get those PPCs out of the closet and back into the light of day.

pps - QuickDraw based Plugins are once again functional in all SeaMonkey for PPC versions.

2.16.2 RELEASE is now available

This 2.16.2 is a special release - WHY ?

Guess what's new ? methodJIT for PPC. What is it ? It's a PPC backend to Javascript which executes native PPC code thereby speeding up the execution of Javascript. Where did it come from ? Well it's been around for some time now courtesy of the folks at TenFourFox ( kudos to Cameron Kaiser and Tobius as well ? not sure of the full history but let me know if I left anyone out ). I finally got around to incorporating the patches from AuroraFox and well it seems to work. No I have no real metrics to give you but it does seem to feel as though SeaMonkey is a bit lighter on its feet.
