Custom builds Links II

Post by LoudNoise »

The original Custom builds Links sticky had a lot of dead links. I decided to restart it. From the original thread these seem to the only projects still active.

Palemoon http://www.palemoon.org/ (firefox)
dead maybe Unknown name http://sharebee.com/64c23e08 (Seamonkey)
fx-ayakawa http://code.google.com/p/fx-ayakawa/ (Firefox)
dead?Blazing Fast http://www.binaryturf.com/free-software ... ributions/ (Firefox, might be Mac only)
dead? Nitroware http://www.nitroware.net/index.php/edit ... uilds.html (Firefox, might also include builds for Thunderbird)
Tete's Atelier private builds http://www1.plala.or.jp/tete009/en-US/software.html (Firefox and Thunderbird)
http://www.mediafire.com/?7pitown6va7i1t7 PimpUigi Edition of Firefox

Should I have any of this wrong PM me and I'll fix it.

If you want to list your project in this thread feel free. For ease of searching please list the programs you are offering and any specifics about it. For example

Project Name. Firefox and Thunderbird, Linux only. 32 bit. ( Link to your site)

Project Name. SeaMonkey , Mac for PPC. ( Link to your site)

If you are running a support thread here please feel free to link to it.

Thanks.

No.
"Established in 1998, MozillaZine is an independent Mozilla news, community and advocacy site.
MozillaZine is not run by the Mozilla Foundation and is not an official part of the Mozilla project."

However, we have been around forever doing support and have enough successful advocacy under our belts to occasionally be not ignored by Mozilla :)

I noticed that you are also running a thread here. Add a link to it if you would like to do so.

What you are posting in now :) If you look at forum index you will see this thread on top with an ! . That means that the thread is stuck to the top of the forum and won't move down from there. Even if no one posts here for three years it will still stay on the top of the forum while other posts march down as newer posts are added.

As for folks using your build you might want to also post in Mac OS X 10.5.x specific forums about it. Be careful about this and if you have even the vaguest questions about the rules of forum make certain you PM a moderator to see if your post is ok. Most mods are cool about such questions since it does prove you have read the rules. We are all small town cops and by nature are willing to forgive slight sins :).

Probably because of recent versions of Visual Studio (later than Visual Studio 2010) targeting only Vista and later by default.

64-bit on XP x64 is the most affected. XP x64 users are expected to receive bogus "X is not a valid Win32 application" error message from Windows.

Because of Visual Studio versions after Visual Studio 2010, XP thinks the .exes are corrupted.

Looks like a ploy by Microsoft to force folks onto Vista or later.
