try safe mode. hold down the Shift key while starting Firefox with a double-click on the Firefox desktop shortcut

Safe mode works. Couple of questions:

1. what is disabled in safe mode
2. can i run light without safe mode
3. is there a shortcut parameter to run light in safe mode only with double click

If I set browser.sessionhistory.max_entries to 0, the about:preferences page stops working (stuck on General, clicking on other sections has no effect). This doesn't happen on regular Firefox with the same setting at 0. (The setting controls the number of pages saved in memory for back / forward. It can reduce RAM usage if ou turn it off.)

Just something I noticed, I guess it's not important since most people won't be changing that setting.

Do you notice that when you switch preference pages, the back / forward still work and the pages can back and forward like with normal web pages. Since it use history, I assume stopping working is the normal behavior. when history is disabled.

In safe mode, hardware acceleration is off and all addons are disabled.
Do the official firefox works for you?

builtin one is slimmed out. addons not tested. Light won't provide devtools.
