Well Mozilla, it's working: that is apparently a very effective way to get me ENGAGED with playing with the Firefox source code. Interesting Experience Flow that.

Anyway, I think I've made a patch to remove Heartbeat completely, and the resulting Firefox build seems to work, but I'd like to verify whether I really completely removed Heartbeat.
I build Firefox Developer Edition for Ubuntu 14.04 64-bit. How can I test for Firefox Heartbeat functionality?
(I have a local server, which I could in principle temporarily map to a Mozilla domain in my HOSTS file, so if something needs to be done server side...)
*Always* check the changelogs BEFORE updating that important software!
