I made a Win64 build of SeaMonkey if anyone wants it (2.39)
Recently, I have needed a 64-bit version of SeaMonkey for Windows, so I went and compiled it myself. I have tested it on Windows XP Professional x64 Edition and Windows 7 Professional x64, though it should work on all 64-bit versions of Windows.
I did notice a small theme bug on XP's Luna theme, but it doesn't affect browsing and switching to Windows Classic fixes it.
Windows Installer
ZIP Archive
Edit 1 (5/31/2015): Added a ZIP Archive and moved the files to Google Drive. I also added the MS redistributables to both the installer and the archive.
Edit 2: (2/1/2016): Updated to SeaMonkey 2.39.

Is this going to be an ongoing thing? I would love a regularly updated x64 version of SeaMonkey for Windows.

SeaMonkey 2.34 was skipped and 2.35 is currently stalled due to Mozilla forcing changes in the Windows build environment and not helping SeaMonkey folks upgrade their machines. So "vanilla" contributed Windows builds for 2.35 for community and addons testing are actually somewhat more urgently needed than 64-bit versions IMO.
Tip of the day: If it has "toolbar" in the name, it's crap.

For the foreseeable future, yes. Every time an official build gets released, I will update.

I can do both x86 "official" and x86_64 "unofficial" builds if you guys need me to.

hi rn10950. I got a chance to try out your Win64 build of Seamonkey 2.33.1 and it works fine on my Win7 x64 machine.
One thing to do is to not install or use the Adblock Plus extension with the Win64 build of SM 2.33.1. Why? Adblock Plus is causing the win64 Seamonkey 2.33.1 build to startup longer, meaning I have to wait at least 5 seconds for the Seamonkey browser window to appear when launching the program.
I'll either disable ABP or find an alternative to ABP to use on SM 2.33.1 win64 build.

I did realize that slowness is/can be a problem, so I will compile with the Intel C++ compiler and see if that speeds it up. If it does, I will upload those builds from now on. We may have to wait until SM 2.35 (or whenever the next SM release is) so I can build off of comm-release instead of a tarball, as I will probably have to make minor source changes to get the Intel compiler to work. If I build off of comm-release, I can use Mercurial to save patches so updating will be quick.

I've started a new topic here: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=2939531
If you don't mind I could upload your builds to our downloads page too.

Sure, I am going to drop them in the Google Drive a day or two after every SM release.

almost the same thing when I installed uBlock for FF/SM on win64 SM 2.33.1 (using up at least 250Mb of RAM) but not as much as with win64 SM 2.33.1 & ABP (which used more than 300Mb of RAM)
running the win64 SM build alone with no addons loaded only used up about 50Mb of RAM on my Win7 x64 computer.

@Phillip:
Which "downloads" page is that? Will the x64 builds be there too?

Re: I made a Win64 build of SeaMonkey 2.33.1 if anyone wants
Hello
If it's not to much bother, would you mind uploading a more optimized recompiled win64 version of 2.33.1 please? I'm having trouble with html5 video on youtube in version 2.35 for some reason, yet it works fine under the vanilla 32 bit version of 2.33.1 and the 64 bit version you did before. but the win64 version of 2.33.1 doesn't run as smoothly as the win64 2.35 beta does.
Thanks.
