ah you're too slow as you can forget about doing that with 2.35 lately.

edit 9/27: SM 2.38 has been released on Sat. 9/26 on the Seamonkey web site.

There is a website called www.m64.info which has 64 bit installer of all versions of SeaMonkey. Has anyone tried any of these?

Terrific. I just downloaded v2.40 from both sites. I was going to extract to a folder first and run as a portable app. None of the executables would even run. Nada! Nothin! It says it's not a valid Windows application. So I run the installer.

Now I happen run Windows Vista x64 Ultimate. Can you guess what I saw?

TMK you can't run modern Gecko-based 64-bit applications in anything older than Windows 7. You'll just have to stick to your outdated browser if you need that.
Tip of the day: If it has "toolbar" in the name, it's crap.

Where on earth did you hear that? :)

I run a couple of modern Gecko browsers on Vista already. Maybe your VS compiler flag disallows compatibility with Vista, but that doesn't mean it can't be made to run. Thank you anyway.

You might as well say modern versions will run on Windows 98.

er, I would say Vista qualifies as modern. It's still NT 6x based and component store based. And to boot, it's still in extended phase support.

After a long delay, I finally got around to doing 2.39! Sorry it took so long.
