As far as I can tell, no. However, it is humming bird season in Mountain View so I bet they are distracted.

I see Firefox has been updated to version 40.0, so will the unbranded firefox be released soon? Someone said in another thread, they should be releasing the unbranded version when firefox 40 comes out.

What do you mean with "unbranded"?

My guess is he wants to use unsigned extensions.

There is an EME-free version of 40.0 on the release side of the server (for Windows only), but I don't see any unbranded version.

lithopsian wrote:... . For Firefox 40 you can still use unsigned addons. In Firefox 41, you can tweak the pref and still use unsigned addons. You can use nightly or developer (Aurora) builds, which don't enforce signing. You can , fingers crossed, use the "unbranded" release build which is supposed to materialise before Firefox 40 is released. This should be your solution, but I haven't seen one of these magic builds yet.

It is my understanding that Firefox 40.0 only issues a warning if an add-on is not signed, only later versions will actually disable it. That's likely the reason why no such unbranded versions without that restriction have been built yet.
