An update i deleted the mozilla profile for FF and then let 1.0+ rebuild it and it didnt fix it so i loaded my backed up profile from 1.0.6 and boba's 1.0.6 and the error is gone, so what ever it is its just with branch 1.0+ weird is all I can say.

I filed a huge memory leak bug several weeks ago on the trunk and it turned out to be four or five bugs. At least one of the fixes should be going into the Branch pretty soon as a low-risk fix. It is awaiting review right now.

Things appear to be on the right track for the Branch so I'd recommend the branch for those that want the features and performance of 1.5 but without the instability of the trunk.

hey mmoy,

concerning your patches, i don't wanna get you in a hurry or anything, just asking if you are going to update the patch sets for the branch? the sse2 set i use right now is from one of your trunk builds from the time when trunk/branch were almost identical and thus apply fine.
what i don't have is a set for sse. i am waiting for that to do sse builds for ppl with older cpus on a more regular basis. would be cool if you'd let me know when you got an updated sse set available for the branch, and perhaps even an updated sse2 one :-)

take care man

I'd suggest using the MMX patches for SSE builds. Most builders aren't doing SSE builds as there really isn't much of a gain (and there may be a loss) of performance. The difference, of course, is that you can use the -arch:SSE switch to generally use the SSE registers for floating point arithmetic.

I'm trying to keep the number of patch lines that I have to maintain down which is hard because we essentially have three lines of branch/trunk code to follow. Almost all of my time is on Win64 right now which is why I'm glad that there are builders doing the MMX/SSE/SSE2 stuff.

allright mate, i'll look into your mmx patches, if i find a build of yours that include them and see how they apply to the current branch.

thats what i thought. you have only K8 1.1 trunk builds on pryan.org. i don't think that too many of your mmx patches from a 1.0.6 build e.g. Firefox-Comm-Ed-Release-1.0.6-P3Y-X14.exe will apply to the branch, what do you think?

I remember what happened: I was working on porting them and may have finished but the kids took the machine that I was working on. I tried to do an MMX trunk build (I think that it was trunk) and someone with an MMX machine said it crashed on his machine but it worked fine on my Pentium 3 laptop so I renamed it as a Pentium 3 build.

If the MMX stuff is done, it's sitting on another computer that I don't get a lot of access to.
