Yes I'm working on the new updates Mozilla has released just recently but sadly things are rather disrupted at the moment. Building work going on at home, limiting access to my main external drive where I usually compile my optimised builds. I've had to go mobile with a portable drive and a temporary table for both drive and laptop.
So all this means my optimised builds will be coming out at a rather stretched out release period, compared to how things go normally. Might be a good thing if another quick release happens from Mozilla again. :D

Firefox 3.6.13

Post by RPMozley »

Ok, Firefox 3.6.13 builds are ready.

O:)

Thunderbird 3.1.7 building process seems to be taking a lot longer than normal, 4h 20min for a single build compared to 2h 30min previously! :-k Don't know if it's my mobile set up or Mozilla changes to the code that's causing the increased time.

Thunderbird 3.1.7

Post by RPMozley »

Thunderbird 3.1.7 optimised builds are up. They sure did take a long time to compile, hope I don't have to do them again anytime soon.

Firefox 3.5.16

Post by RPMozley »

Firefox 3.5.16 optimised builds slipped out a few days ago, not that anyone is watching. Seems this version of Firefox (3.5) isn't very popular, hardly any downloads at all.

Thunderbird 3.0.11

Post by RPMozley »

And the last release has been uploaded. Thunderbird 3.0.11, not much call for these ones as well. It's a shame really as I think Firefox 3.5 and Thunderbird 3.0 look a lot more at home in Tiger than the latest versions (they've gone all Leopard look). Sure they're the "Latest and greatest" version released but in my opinion they just look odd in OS X 10.4 :?

Anyway, I'm rambling. Merry Christmas to all that celebrate it and happy holidays to those that celebrate other things.

Updates!?

Post by RPMozley »

Oh great, more quick releases from Mozilla. #-o

"When will Firefox 3.6.15 and Thunderbird 3.1.9 be ready?" I hear you ask. Well, quite frankly, I probably won't be building them. The only change in Firefox is for a Java problem, which is unlikely to happen on Mac OSX (unless you thought it a good idea to use Apple's Java Plugin2 - 10.5+ only I would guess - instead of the included JEP). For Thunderbird I'm not entirely sure what's been changed but the release notes mention a crash while updating? That doesn't really sound like a problem affecting Mac OSX uses as all you need to do it replace the application, not "update" it.

Well, anyway, just uploading Thunderbird 3.1.8 so should be ready shortly. O:)

The Firefox builds are not available on the main website.
Clicking on the Firefox link takes you to a blank page.

Oh no, something has gone wrong with the index file. Hopefully it will be fixed within a few hours of posting this message. #-o

OK, Firefox 3.6.16 optimised builds are out. Just a minor security update, blacklisting some certificates or something, apparently. Well, that's what's mentioned in the release notes.
