Darkstar: Win32 2004-05-04 (O2-GAL6/7-SSE/2) Modern CPUs

Darkstar_FX_20040504_SSE build, Windows Xp Home SP1 up to date.

After installing in a fresh folder but with the old profile, Firefox got stuck on "Installing extensions...." which had to be X'ed. Once this over, program started with no problems. All old extensions were listed but could not be uninstalled.

Deleted the profile and restarted Firefox.

Tried to install Adblock (2004-01-12) with the new profile but it will not install.

After the problems mentioned above, I've found that firefox.exe never quits. After closing the browser window the EXE remains in the process list.

Mine quits nicely, and disappears from TaskManager.

Yep -- false alarm. I think something has gone wrong with my machine: I've found another app exhibiting the same malady. Time for a reboot and some other Windows scrubbing...
