I dont know if youre still patching this, 228320 - When any sidebar is active, a 5-pixel spacer appears on the left of all popups, but its still in your fist post. The fix was checked in 2004-04-25.

Other than that, youre 2004-04-27 o2 g7 sse2 is running nicely here.

I was considering buying an AMD 64 Athlon from Compaq as the price is under $1,000 right now though I need to add memory so it goes about $1K. Some questions if you don't mind:
- Do you run Windows XP or Windows 64 Beta?
- Do you have access to the 3d-Now registers as well as the SSE regesters and the MMX registers?
- If you run Windows 64, how do you do development on it? Is there a MSVC++ for Win64 you can get that will generate code for some of the additional A64 instructions?
If I get an A64, I'm going to do a special IDCT for that system that will really fly given what I've heard of what it has for SIMD instructions.

I run Windows XP 32-bit (As the 64 edition needs a little more time to mature and they really need to get most of the manufacturers to release drivers and some programs need to be fully compatible) Visual Studio .NET 2005 will have 64-bit optimizations for sure, they show the use of it in a couple videos at the MSDN website. We should expect to see a beta coming soon.
Right now, it is not worth it. But fairly soon, lets say this summer (June+) the 64 CPUs and programs will start to bloom and AMD will launch their 939-pin CPUs which is really worth the deal, since it will support dual channel memory and the chipsets will have an AGP/PCI lock by then (if you like overclocking). Also, by then.. i'm sure there will be tons of programs along with WindowsXP 64-bit Final to put to good use. But for now, I must say.. patience
My suggestions.. if you want a new PC:
Now - Get a P4
Soon - AMD

Now back to the topic, heh
Does anyone want me to build Firefox all the time. Do you actually use my builds or just test them? Is there something I can do to make them better? Must... have... feedback Thanks!

I use your builds and appreciate the time you take to make them. They work nice and fast for me on my athlon64 and I like that you include patches in them. Thanks once again!

I use your build although when I upgrade I just switch around to what is available, I dont switch very often though so atm I'm using one of your builds. I have a P4 so I use the SSE2 builds and I like the O2 speed factor as well as like the poster above mentioned the patches included in the builds.

Just wondering if the 64 bits will get used any time soon. I am in the same boat, looking for a PC.
Remember when Apple came out with the PowerPC chips, and they said each new release would use the PowerPC native more and more so each update would be faster and faster. Did that ever pan out with Apples? Will the same hold true for PC's? Maybe we should take this to "After Dark" thread from here.
Thanks.
