"I am going to recommend the /Oxp /GAF7s build. This build does not use SSE as I have not found any benefit thus far from this instruction set with Firefox or Thunderbird."

I assume this would hold true for AMD Duron (Morgan Core) as well ?

Yep, but you might also want to try a /GAF6 build as well, such as

I did not think these builds could get any better, but damn, they sure did! This BRANCH build rocks!

great build moox... BTW, does this latest one also have mmoy's jpeg code included?? is this why it is snappier? ;)

Thanks much. This build does indeed have mmoy's jpeg code in it - for both SSE and SSE2

For those wondering about 20040510_Branch_P2_P3.exe, and whether it too has mmoy's SSE code work included: Quote from moox on this Branch Build thread:

"FYI: I have just uploaded a 2004.05.10 P2_P3 build that incorporates mmoy's SSE/JPEG & SSE2/JPEG optimizations. SHould show a benefit on any SSE-enabled CPU. SSE2 for P4 and AXP is building right now."

I have to agree

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040511 Firefox/0.8.0+ (MOOX) is the best build I've ever used. Nice, stable, fast and a pleasure to use.

mmoy, moox, I must say that the work both of you have done in making firefox faster is very much appreciated. I hope that both of you would continue to work together to provide the community with the fastest browser available on this planet.
