Topic Guidelines

Post by Jack »

Here is the recommended format for thread topics:

[APP] Handle: YYYY-MM-DD [Branch or Trunk/Platform] (Options used)
Examples:
[FX] Jack: 2004-05-14 [Branch/Win32] (O2-G7-SSE2)
[TB] Tom: 2004-04-11 [Trunk/Win32] (defaults)
[SM] Bob: 2004-03-29 [Trunk/Linux] (O1-G6-SSE)

App Names:
FX - firefox
TB - thunderbird
SM - Mozilla Application Suite/seamonkey
SB - sunbird

Using this format would make it easier for people searching the forum to find what they need. Per Kerz's post below, Moderators can and will edit the thread title if it does not conform.

Thank you!

Most unofficial builds are hosted at:

Let's actually make these guidelines official. Mods have permission to retitle posts if they don't fit. This'll help folks find the build they're looking for much more easily.

My personal preference is for people to re-use their threads for at least a week, changing the date in the title. That will help cut down on the number of threads.
