These are all Trunk Builds.
I built Mozilla Firefox from CVS with MSVC++ .NET 2003 using some optimisations.
Optimised for Athlon XP and some newer Durons with SSE (-O2 -G7 -GL -arch:SSE):
http://pryan.org/firefox/BlueFyre/Firef ... GL-SSE.zip (~6.70MB - zip)
http://pryan.org/firefox/BlueFyre/Firef ... -GL-SSE.7z (~4.80MB - 7z)
The above build will work on systems that support the SSE instruction set ONLY.
[Note] Extracting will make a folder named Firefox
checkout start: Fri May 28 06:39:56 PDT 2004
I should note that I can't guarantee that these builds will work with Windows 95 (Microsoft has removed Windows 95 as a target platform on their .NET 2003 version of development tools), but they will work with Windows 98/NT4 or better, and probably on Windows 95 too.
You can find a copy of these builds (and my older builds) on pryan's mirror:
http://pryan.org/firefox/BlueFyre
My .mozconfig is as follows:
. $topsrcdir/browser/config/mozconfig
ac_add_options --disable-tests
ac_add_options --disable-debug
ac_add_options --enable-optimize="-O2 -G7 -GL -arch:SSE"
ac_add_options --enable-static
ac_add_options --disable-shared
My builds have the following preference set:
pref("general.useragent.vendorComment", "BlueFyre");
I've included a copy of my .mozconfig in the build folder itself.

BlueFyre in the Rain
So this will be my first Vancouver build here in Vancouver. I have it up and running now, and next I'll install my usual 50 extensions or so.
I usually choose SSE2, and I have a Celeron 1.7. Is your optimization fairly wrong or pretty close for me? Plus, what will I notice with SSE instead of my usual SSE2?
Thanks. (BTW, I downloaded the Zip, after the other one (tried 2) gave me a screenful of code instead of a download.)

Main box XP32 and XP64, using FF 3.6, K-Meleon, IE8, and OffByOne.
This is a home-built AMD Athlon x2 5600+, 8GB GSkill @ 800, 1.7TB on 4 SATAs, 3 ODD. No gaming; just a workhorse
Others in home Eee 901 with XP32 SP3; also Asus F3T with Vista

Yeah it gives me a screenfull of code also.. you just have to right click and save link as...
Also I beleive if you use a build that your system supports can work fine for you... (Pretty sure your system can handle it) I also have a Pentium 4 1.5ghz running the build .... Also AdBlock that has been unofficially patched seems to work fine for me (revision 6 of the patch http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=78895 )

OK, so far so good. I'll test without AdBlock for awhile, becuz I'm finding the original anti-ad code seems to work as well. I'm keen to try your build with my usual huge array of extensions, and see how well it works; speed and so on.
It's being tested here on Nelson Street, 2 blocks from Stanley Park. I'm 57.

Okey-dokey, your White Rock build is working just fine here in Rain City. I've got 40 extensions including TBE on it, and it's nice and smooth. I haven't done a lot yet except lots of restarts and just a bit of "real" use, but this seems like a good build. I'll be using it a lot more tomorrow.

I've used this BlueFyre quite a bit today. For anyone wanting to try a new name (a pretty name, too), try it alongside your Stipe or Moox builds, and see what you think--I recommend it.
I think the last other Canadian build I tried was Sleddog's, from 4,000 miles across the country. Is it a Canadian characteristic to use evocative names? (But I like the single-syllable names too.)
Housekeep Seal of Approval goes [[ HERE ]] . Thanks, BlueFyre.
