Thunderbird 3.1.4
Windows Vista
Hi,
I installed Calendar today and entered a couple of events and tasks, saved them and they're displaying.
However even after choosing "reminder" I don't get any message at all (audio or visual) telling me that an event or task is imminent or that it's chosen time has arrived.
The above applies with Thunderbird open or minimized.
I don't immediately see the diiference between a task and an action except that they appear in different windows.
Any help would be appreciated,
Michael

Assuming you mean Lightning.
What do you have set for your Alarm preferences?

Yes, I meant Lightning.
Please see http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=w2oi9f&s=7 for my available settings, unless there are more somewhere.
More interesting perhaps is that a reminder came up whilst I was writing this.
It was five and a half hours late however.
I'm in UTC/GMT +2 hours
Thanks for your reply,
Michael

Re: no audio or visual reminder
I just tried setting my local time when I entered an event and all worked well.
So what is the answer here?
We can't be expected to enter our location every time we enter an event; can we?
My tray clock is showing the correct time.

Re: no audio or visual reminder
What timezone is configured in Lightning? Maybe it is set different from your local one?

In Thunderbird select Edit > Preferences > Lighting
Set your Alarm settings: http://img412.imageshack.us/img412/4828 ... birdpr.png

You might want to look at the others to see what you can do with Thunder and Lightning.
They may be different on a Windows machine.

Re: no audio or visual reminder
Thank you all for your help.
Lightning integrates into Thunderbird and I didn't think to check its options in the 'Thunderbird options' which is where they appear.
Silly me!
All is well now, so asta la vista
