Can't Dismiss Lightning Shared Calendar Reminders

Hope this is the correct forum for this question.

Like the subject line says. I have a shared calendar (different owner) in Lightning. Any reminders the other owner sets on appointments they own, I cannot dismiss. This happens if I'm an attendee of the appointment (added to my calendar), or if I'm not (the appointment only exists in the other calendar).

Either way, I get the reminders, and nothing happens when I click "Dismiss." If I click "X" to dismiss the window, the reminder reappears later. I can't get rid of them!

Is there any way to fix this?

EDIT: Don't know if any of this matters, but TB and Lightning are latest updates and version. The shared calendar is Google (but I don't think that really matters).

How do you access the Google Calendar from Lightning? Do you have write access to the calendar?

No, I don't have write access, and I know that's part of the problem.

I wonder if the owner dismisses the reminder that will finally get rid of it for me as well?

It's my wife's calendar. I suppose I may find out when she gets home. Kind of silly to be getting alarms from a shared calendar with view only privileges IMHO.

Unfortunately you need write access to the calendar to change its reminder information. If you don't want to see the reminders at all you can switch them off in the corresponding calendar properties dialog.

Hadn't thought to check that! I figured there had to be an option to at least turn them off.
