Lightning calendar gone- can't locate/reinstall/enable

Post by RDFRDF1 »

Restarted Win 7 Professional last night. Lightning calendar is gone. Can't find it. Tried to re-install-doesn't seem to show up anywhere. Cab't find any way to "enable" it.

At one point received message: "Lightning could not be installed because it is not compatible with Firefox 41.0.2.

Also, the download this morning (10 23 2115) was lightning-4.0.3.1-sm+tb-windows.xp

Could the "windows.xp" be a problem?

Need the calendar badly-entire business life for last several years, and several months of up coming appointments and 'to call' lists are lost.

Thanks in advance for any help. If you have any ideas please spell them out in great detail, assuming I know nothing about this stuff, because...I know nothing about this stuff!

Hi, you need to install the Lightning extension in Thunderbird and not in Firefox. In Thunderbird open Menu > Add-ons > Get Addons and Search for Lightning and install. Or open Menu > Add-ons > Extension, choose Install Add-on from file and browse to the downloaded lightning-4.0.3.1-sm+tb-windows.xpi file.
