Is there a way to remove Sunbird duplicate entries in the calendar?
They are duplicated between two calendars that are being displayed at the same time.
(Sunbird allows you to display multiple calendars).
You may ask, why not just display one calendar or not display the calendar with the dupes?
Well because the dupes calendar also has other non-dupe entries.

Actually, the question is why are you using Sunbird? As far as I know, there hasn't been any development since January 2010.

I have been using it for quite a number of years now.
I haven't found a Windows stand-alone calendar app that can do what Sunbird can do
with a plain but attractive interface that allows appts. to show in month mode.
I am satisfied with most of the programs I use and am not interested in yearly 'improvements'
that bloat my hard drive.
WinXP here.

You can either view all or nothing from a calendar. Possible workarounds I can think of involve editing the events, e.g. to delete the duplicates from one calendar or move them into a third calendar for shared events.

Thanks ssitter for the tips. I'll probably go the 'delete' route.ssitter wrote:You can either view all or nothing from a calendar. Possible workarounds I can think of involve editing the events, e.g. to delete the duplicates from one calendar or move them into a third calendar for shared events.
The problem is that there are tons of them.
I'm not sure how it happened.
When you make an entry in one calendar, and you have two calendars showing (ticked), will the entry be added to the two calendars?
If so, how do you make an entry to just one calendar, while at the same time have two calendars visible at all times?
