SeaMonkey is wondering whether to spin a 2.42 (based on 45.1, which would work with 4.7) or directly go to 2.43 (which needs 4.8x). Having a release without matching Lightning would be kind of a show stopper.

Lightning 4.8b1 coming up?
Does anybody here know whether or not a 4.8b1 is coming?

According to Fallen, there will be no 4.8 beta. Thus, SeaMonkey will likely spin its own build which will then be uploaded to AMO (as discussed in today's status meeting).
