[SOLVED] Disable outgoing mail to attendees when appo. del..

Hi,

is it possible to turn of outgoing mails for appointments which have attendees. Yesterday this "feature" hits me bad when I restore a calender from ics in the wrong calender. Import worked but when I delete all the appointments from the calender Thunderbird sends out about 700 mails to about 40 recipients

So how can I delete the appointments without spamming the attendants?
Additional question: Why does a message pops up when I change a local appointment and why does it not pops up when the appointment is on an caldav server? Instead it silently floods people with mails. For reference, the pop up says "Would you like to send out notification E-Mail now?"

I found the case, it was is a server logic from Zimbra which automatically sends mails.
