sort order of events

Does anyone know whether there is any way to disable or change the sort order of events in a day in month view ? What I would like to be able to do is specify which event apperars at the top, then second , then third etc. As events are sorted alphanumerically, the same event can appear in the middle one day, be at the bottom the next day, and the top the day after. This makes the calendar rather difficult to read as a lot of my days have 6 or more entries.
