How to suppress invite approvals

In our team we add the team group email as an invitee for appointments where you just need the rest of the team to be aware that you are not available, eg: Dr appointments. In Outlook there is an option on Invite Attendees to turn off 'Request Responses' but I'm not aware of anything similar for Thunderbird/Lightning so currently everyone gets requested for a response to informational invites. Does anyone know of a way to turn off the request for a response?
