Used to get Email reminders Now I don't. Why?

Post by intanet »

Geez, I asked this question 3 different ways and still, no solution. I used to get email reminders using Thunderbird email client with the Lightening Calendar add on. Now I don't get these reminders. Was this feature removed? If so, PLEASE let me know so I can get on with my life.

This is the only post I have noticed.

What version of Thunderbird and Lightning?

The only calendar I have that can send email reminders is my Google calendar.

There appears to be a bug where the user can set a reminder prior to the event, chose Send an Email as a Reminder Action, Save and Close the event, then the Reminder Action is changed to "The moment the event starts".

I did get an email, the moment the event starts, with the test event I created.

You might want to file a bug report. I don't see one in this list.

So the previous was for development versions of Thunderbird, Lightning and Provider for Google Calendar.

Using the current versions Thunderbird 52.5.0, Lightning 5.4.5 and Provider for Google Calendar 3.3, the email reminders work for me as expected.
