Just closed Quick Filter Lightning 5.4 and when I tried to open it again, it is greyed out.
EDIT: Used the side menu and selected Events and Tasks > Find Events and it reappeared but is still greyed out in View> Toolbars > Quick Filter bar

Quick Filter greyed out
It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.

What is Quick Filter Lightning 5.4?
I don't find it as an extension at addons.thunderbird.net and Lightning in Thunderbird 68.4.1 is also version 68.4.1.

I still don't understand the issue.
Quick Filter isn't used for the calendar. If the user is in the Calendar tab, then it should be disabled in View > Toolbars.
If they want to find events. That is under Events and Tasks > Find Events when they are in the Calendar tab and not the Mail tab.
