I've got an ics file of 3.2 mb, that contains items all the back from 1999.
Is there any way of getting rid of old unused stuff in there?
I'm using v 52.6.0 (64-bit) w/ Ubuntu o/s.
Thanks
How to purge old stuff from ics file?

First, anybody wanting to work on their ics file knows to first back the thing up, right?patclash wrote:https://addons.mozilla.org/fr/thunderbi ... vents-plus

I got it to work, with some difficulty.
I tried selecting a large span of reminders to delete and it didn't work - it ran the CPU a lot and wound up using almost all 8 gigs of RAM, so I killed it and found nothing had been deleted.
What did work was selecting limited spans of time, then tapping del key 4 or 5 times to get the message through, and watching the system monitor to verify the CPU activity kicked up, showing it was working. Regularly, Lightning would have an error message show up which meant nothing except that I had to reset edit/calendar properties "Read only" to the unchecked condition, or else nothing could be done to the ics file.
In about 1/2 hr I got the ics file from 3.2 mbs to 0.52 mbs.
Thanks, or Merci beaucoup
