Lightning: can I specify a time span for synchronization?

Post by DAC324 »

Hello all,

using Lightning in Thunderbird for quite some time, I encountered that it always synchronizes whole calendars. As it does this on every Thunderbird start, the program becomes unresponsible for a significant amount of time, depending on how many calendars there are to be synchronized, and depending on the amount of appointments in these calendars.

Other calendar synchronization software (such as gSyncit or OutlookCalDAVSynchronizer) allow specifying a time span for appointments to be synchronized.
For example, you can specify that only appointments within several days in the past and several days in the future will be synchronized, rather than processing the entire calendar contents.

I am just wondering if there is a similar setting in Lightning, and if yes, where I can find it.
If not, this would be a very useful feature to be implemented in Lightning as it will speed up Thunderbird's startup process significantly.

Thank you very much and kind regards,
