Lightning displays HTML code instead of rendering it

Post by dimic »

Hi,

I use Thunderbird v 60.5.0 and also Outlook, both are connected to Exchange calendar. In Thunderbird I use "Exchange Calendar 5.0.0 alpha 2" addon for connecting to Exchange.

If I create or edit an event using my Outlook client and then trying to open it in Thunderbird, it displays HTML code like

Code: Select all

<!-- /* Font Definitions */ @font-face {font-family:"Cambria Math"; panose-1:2 4 5 3 5 4 6 3 2 4;} @font-face {font-family:Calibri; panose-1:2 15 5 2 2 2 4 3 2 4;} @font-face {font-family:"Segoe UI"; panose-1:2 11 5 2 4 2 4 2 2 3;} @font-face {font-family:"Segoe UI Semibold"; panose-1:2 11 7 2 4 2 4 2 2 3;} /* Style Definitions */ p.MsoNormal, li.MsoNormal, div.MsoNormal {margin:0cm; margin-bottom:.0001pt; font-size:11.0pt; font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif;} a:link, span.MsoHyperlink {mso-style-priority:99; color:#0563C1; text-decoration:underline;} a:visited, span.MsoHyperlinkFollowed {mso-style-priority:99; color:#954F72; text-
At the same time it renders events which were created in Outlook by others (read-only for me) - the content displayed correctly and no HTML code is displayed.

What can I do in order to fix the issue?
Is it Lightning-related issue or that is an issue of the addon?

Thanks a lot.

https://exquilla.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/c ... source-now is a old related thread for ExQuilla, that was fixed in an update to the add-on. Perhaps "Exchange Calendar 5.0.0 alpha 2" has a similar bug.

Are you using the release from https://github.com/ExchangeCalendar/exc ... r/releases ? The reason I ask is there is the original exchange calendar project plus several forks, so its not clear which one you are using.

"What can I do in order to fix the issue?"
Try dropping back to version 4 of the exchange calendar add-on. If that fixes the problem then I'd think about submitting an issue on the add-ons issue page.
