Since my Thunderbird was updated to 68.2, I've been having trouble with the calendar (lightning). In particular, I must login to my google account every time I start TB. This was not the case with TB 60.x I also get the google authentication window (Provider for Google Calendar) periodically even when my TB session is open and I had already signed into Google.
Any idea what is causing this behavior? Thank you.

I haven't seen that problem in my Thunderbird 68.2.1 on Linux.

Still having this issue even though I updated to 68.2.1 and the release notes seemed to indicate this would fix that issue.

Maybe this will help:
Set general.useragent.compatMode.firefox to true
