Link to Gmail calendar can't be changed or deleted
I just updated one system to TB 91.1.2 and found the calendar display empty of data. Found the "Edit Calendar" dialogue (eventually) but the the field for the calendar link can't be edited or the displayed value deleted. What am I missing? Is the Provider extension still needed, or is it incompatible? Something else, probably fairly obvious?

The extension is incompatible, but being worked on.
I would remove the extension and use the auto-discovery feature to subscribe to the calendar.
Click the plus sign to add a new calendar on the network.
Enter your Google email address and click the "Find Calendars" button.
Then complete the OAuth2 sign in prompts.
You do lose the ability to use Tasks.

Can you give me the path to that? I may not be looking in the right place as I don't see it.I would remove the extension and use the auto-discovery feature to subscribe to the calendar.

This is probably easier.DanRaisch wrote:Can you give me the path to that? I may not be looking in the right place as I don't see it.I would remove the extension and use the auto-discovery feature to subscribe to the calendar.
Click the plus sign to add a new calendar on the network.
Select an account in the Folder Pane.
Click the Calendar button in the "Set Up Another Account" section of the Account Hub.
Select "On the Network".
Click "Next".
Enter your email address and click "Find Calendars".
For future reference, the plus sign is in the Calendar List of the Calendar Pane on the left of the Calendar tab.
If not visible, you may need to use View > Calendar > Calendar Pane and enable it and the Calendar List.

I thought I was making some progress using your instructions and I can see A calendar in Thunderbird but it's not populated.

I just created my Gmail account in a test profile, then used my instructions to create the calendar, subscribed to my calendar and the holiday calendar and both were populated.DanRaisch wrote:I thought I was making some progress using your instructions and I can see A calendar in Thunderbird but it's not populated.
If you have tasks and subscribed to the Tasks selection, you won't see anything.

Same problem, can't see or even save new events to google calendar.
edit: solved by disabling all calendar add ons except "provider for google calendar"

Nice to know.nym9 wrote:Same problem, can't see or even save new events to google calendar.

I don't use any calendar add-ons so had not thought of that.
