Customizing Thunderbird

Post by vegasbroker »

I just installed thunderbird and love it now with the email, calendar and address book. Better than Outlook for me. My question is: I noticed that there are large icons in the bottom left of the screen for mail and calendar, but the address book has to be opened by clicking on the icon at the top. Is there anyway to have an address book icon down at the bottom left with the other two? Thanks

Are you talking about the bottom left of your windows screen? If so, I would suspect not...I think that's the quicklaunch area for programs. addressbook is incorporated into thunderbird and not a separate program.

I could be mistaken, however. 8-)

He's talking about the two icons added by Lightning version 0.7. I don't know of a way to customize that toolbar to add the address book. You could use the contacts sidebar extension to display the address book in its own pane if you have the screen real estate.

I moved this thread from Thunderbird Support to the Calendar forum since thats where the Lightning experts are.
