Everything you need to install Minimo build 0.004 on an Axim

Post by frambach »

If you are just getting started with Minimo, here is a link to everything you need to do to get it up and running on your X50v in high resolution.
If you run into problems, put them on this board. One of the other users or I will try to get to it ASAP.
If anyone sees a problem in my directions (I tried to make them as easy as possible), let me know.

A very nice guide Frambach. May I include portions in future FAQ's/readme's that will be included in future releases?

i copied the folder in the zip file "minimo" to my built in storage. i followed your directions and i get

Cannot open 'winEmbeded'. A critical component is either missing or cannot start because program memory is unavailable.

any thoughts?

Sounds like your out of memory. If you put everything into the built in storage it may take up too much memory. Remmeber, storage and running memory are shared on a pocket pc. You may either have to free up some memory, adjust memory allocation (In settings, memory) or install minimo on storage card (SD, CF)

By the way, issue's of 'how to install minimo' should be resolved shortly, we should have an installer shortly.

I installed Minimo on a CF card with no trouble.

Give that a whirl and let us know if you get it working.

Any screenshot can be available to show the mini-Firefox running on Dell x50v VGA mode?

Thanks a lot!

Slightly out of date, and some are of the Linux release.
