If you're looking for a light browser, try http://kmeleon.sourceforge.net
It's based off the gecko engine.

There is a need for a small tabbed browser with very low memory and resource use for old computers. I was kinda hoping for a Minimo to desktop port too. However Minimo is not really meant for regular computer desktops:(,it's best to have a (minimo?) browser specificly designed for desktop use and fit for old computers. .
k-meleon is the one i use now on my old computers.
There also is a browser called Topbrowser(uses explorer core) ,which uses less memory than k-meleon but is not so nice to use. so right now i would keep using k-meleon on old pc's.. Also interesting to check/test is the Dillo browser windows port.

FWIW, I just built minimo on a x86 Linux box. If you can follow the <a href="http://www.mozilla.org/projects/minimo/build.html">build instructions</a>, you may be able to achieve what you want. I'm also following this <a href="http://www.fukt.bth.se/~per/crux/cvs.cgi/crux/ports/opt/firefox/Pkgfile?rev=1.13&content-type=text/vnd.viewcvs-markup">Pkgfile</a> which describes how to install it after building (the one thing lacking in the build instructions).
